But how do you go about doing this? Ask the candidate about these three basic things – it might sound simple but these basic questions will help you understand what they’re ultimately looking for.
- What are they looking for compensation-wise?
- What is their motivation to change jobs?
- What are they looking for in their careers (i.e. advancement, opportunity, money, etc.)?
These are the basics to understanding if the candidate will be a good fit for the opportunity and the company.
